The Game of Thrones. You win,or you die. Book One of A Song of Ice and Fire begins the greatest fantasy epic of the modern age. I decided to read this book because of HBO series. I am not a fantasy reader but I liked it! The plot kept me guessing till the end. Usually I don't like multiple POVs. But it didn't bother me in this book. Characters are so rich and it was good to see their points. Every character has flaws, no one is completely bad or good. It makes characters real. And I liked the way the author shows that the good guys are not always wining. The only thing made me dissapoint by this book is I've waited bubbles for somethings to be resolved and it didn't happened. And a quick warning for whoever is thinking of reading this book: the author have no mercy. Don't even like anyone in this book! Turkish review: İlk olarak diziyi izlemeye başladım, daha evvel kitabı duymamıştım bile. Kitabı okumadan önce de olayları dizide görmek istedim ve bu yüzden kitabı okumayı geciktirdim. Bölye yaptığıma da çok memnunum. Eğer merakıma yenilmeyip sabredebilir ve spoilerdan uzak kalabilirsem 2. kitabı da 2.sezonu izledikten sonra okumayı planlıyorum. Kitap birçok karakterin gözünden anlatılmış. Başta olaylara ve kitabın diline adapte olmayı biraz zorlaştırsa da birkaç bölüm sonra sorun olmaktan çıkıyor. Bunda yazarın dizi senaristliği geçmişinin de etkisi olabilir, ama yazar okuyucuyu merak içinde bırakmayı iyi beceriyor. Yarattığı karakterler oldukça derin ve gerçek. Kimse tamamen iyi ya da kötü değil. Ancak kimse garanti altında da değil. En "olmaz" dediğim kişilere bir süre sonra veda ettim. HEA beklentisi de olmamalı kitabı okurken, iyiler her zaman kazanmıyor -ki bu da romanı daha gerçekçi kılıyor. Yukarıda bubbles da belirttiğim gibi, kitapta beni hayalkırıklığına uğratan tek şey, bazı şeylerin çözülmesini beklerken "son" yazısını görmek oldu. Bunun dışında ne yazarın tarzına ne karakterlerine ne de kitaba bir kusur bulamıyorum. Kesinlikle tavsiye ederim. NOT: Yorumuma son vermeden evvel kitabı amazon'dan almak isteyenlere küçük bir uyarıda bulunmak istiyorum. Hem bana hem de arkadaşıma bu seri dış kapağı yırtık olarak bubbles geldi.
